Eclipse Animator questions, with clear sources

Practical answers for getting started, with a distinction between what the creator documents and what still needs checking in your own project.

What is Eclipse Animator?

Eclipse Animator is an animation plugin for Roblox Studio. The creator’s official listing describes tools including inverse kinematics, graph editing, animation layers, camera preview and live collaboration. The main guide helps you choose a first task. These are creator-listed capabilities, not independent performance benchmarks.

Where do I get the original plugin?

Use the Creator Store entry for asset 86116556258301, published by @riftkuro. The creator’s official tutorial links to the same asset. Check the host, number and publisher together; matching product names alone do not identify an upload. Our get-plugin page walks through those checks.

This website does not host the plugin, sell it or ask for your Roblox password. Complete account and acquisition steps on Roblox.

Is it free, and when does the free offer end?

In our October 16, 2026 live check while signed out, the loaded original store page displayed Get Plugin without a listed USD amount. Recheck the offer under your own account before acquiring it. We have not verified an official free-offer deadline or timezone; community comments about three days or October 16 are not a confirmed schedule.

Read the current store action and any amount shown before continuing. The free-availability page explains the evidence and how existing ownership can affect what you see. We do not promise permanent free access or future upgrades.

Does it work on phones, tablets or Chromebooks?

Roblox’s Studio setup documentation lists Windows and Mac for Studio. Eclipse is a Studio plugin, so use a supported desktop installation. Viewing a store page on a phone does not make the plugin a mobile animation app. We have not verified a supported ChromeOS or Linux Eclipse workflow and do not provide an unofficial compatibility workaround.

How do I install it, and why is its button missing?

Acquire the original listing with the intended Roblox account, then install or find it in Studio’s Plugins area. Roblox’s Toolbox guide documents choosing the Plugins category, inspecting an asset and using Install.

If the plugin is missing, compare the browser and Studio accounts, check whether it is installed and enabled, and update or reopen Studio after saving your work. Follow the complete installation guide for the first-project sequence. These are basic checks, not a diagnosis of every missing-button issue.

Do I need Blender or another desktop program?

The base Studio plugin and companion programs serve different tasks. The creator links an Eclipse Blender repository for Blender integration and an Eclipse Video repository for video-reference features. Use a companion when following that specific workflow.

The video companion’s README lists Windows and Mac packages, including separate Mac processor builds. Follow its current instructions and requirements. We have not verified a complete Blender-version compatibility matrix, so check the developer’s current repository before choosing an add-on version.

Where are the keyboard shortcuts?

The controls reference organizes actions documented in the creator’s tutorial. Context matters: R appears for object rotation and camera field of view, while J appears for keyframe scaling and uniform object scaling. Check which editor area and selection a chapter describes before pressing the key.

The reference is a source-linked starter set, not a promise to contain every current binding. We have not assumed that replacing Ctrl with Command produces an equivalent Mac shortcut.

Can I open a Moon Animator project in Eclipse?

We have not verified direct project-file interchange. A rig, an exported Roblox animation and an editor’s saved project are different things; support for one does not prove support for the others. Keep the original project and test a copy through a creator-documented workflow before moving important work.

Use the Eclipse versus Moon Animator guide to compare the exact tasks you need. It does not turn missing documentation into a claim that a feature is absent.

Is Eclipse safe and stable?

The correct publisher and asset ID identify the original upload; they do not audit its code or guarantee stability. The creator’s store description says the plugin is very new and that bugs are being addressed. The latest October 16 browser check showed v1.096 in the description; the version can change.

Use a separate copy of important work when evaluating a new workflow. Inspect any permissions Studio requests and use the creator’s support channel if you are unsure why a feature needs them. We have not installed the plugin for a security assessment or run comparative benchmarks.

How do I plan frames, save and export?

Use the project’s actual FPS in the animation timing calculator to convert a duration into frame intervals. The calculator performs local timing math; it does not change Studio settings or export animations.

Saving an editable project is separate from exporting output. The official tutorial covers save at 2:53 and export at 2:57. Follow the current plugin dialog for the required destination and permissions.

Is this the official website, and where can I get help?

This is an independent guide, unaffiliated with Roblox or the plugin’s creators. For plugin support and current announcements, use the creator’s community. Include your version, operating system, rig type and reproducible steps when reporting a problem.
