Choose an Eclipse Animator tutorial

These eight written guides organize the creator’s official tutorial into practical tasks. Each guide includes a specific video chapter, a manageable practice plan, expected observations and troubleshooting questions. They distinguish creator-described behavior from general animation principles and suggested exercises. They do not claim that we personally tested every workflow in Studio.

Search filters the guides below in your browser. Nothing is submitted or saved.

A beginner’s path from a rig to a saved clip

If Eclipse is not installed, finish the official asset check and Studio installation guide first. Installation explains acquisition and locating the plugin. The beginner tutorial starts at the creative task: choose a simple rig, establish two different poses, preview a short motion, and keep an editable source.

  1. Make one small motion. Use one selected object or rig and confirm that its intended pose changes at the right time. Avoid introducing cameras, multiple performers and several companions into the first test.
  2. Check the duration. Enter the actual project FPS in the animation timing calculator. Thirty frame intervals last one second at 30 FPS; this is arithmetic, not a statement about the plugin’s default settings.
  3. Refine one property. Use the graph editor guide to compare spacing and easing. A curve adjustment should answer a motion question, such as where the action accelerates.
  4. Save and verify separately. Keep the editable project before following the export workflow. A preview in the editor is a different checkpoint from an output that works in its intended destination.

Pose and joint control: start with inverse kinematics when your question concerns how moving one target affects a chain. Use the guide’s small comparison to isolate the behavior. The accompanying Roblox IK documentation explains concepts; it is not proof of Eclipse’s internal implementation.

Motion organization: choose animation layers when a base motion and a variation are becoming hard to inspect. Keep a baseline before experimenting. Do not infer a specific blending mode or conflict rule from a layer’s name.

A shot or a team task: use the camera tutorial for framing and field-of-view context, or live collaboration for a controlled two-person synchronization and handoff test. Those workflows have different evidence and completion checks.

External animation: the Eclipse Animator Blender guide follows the creator’s companion project and distinguishes declared requirements, code-inspected controls and a transfer you still need to verify yourself. A Blender add-on does not replace acquiring the Studio plugin.

What each Eclipse Animator tutorial is based on

The main source is just7’s Eclipse — Official Tutorial, which links the original plugin and companion repositories. Our chapter references come from the creator’s published description reviewed for the original guide. The same video is attributed throughout the series; these are independent written guides, not eight videos produced by Eclipse Guide.

Each page links to its relevant creator chapter and additional first-party documentation where useful. Roblox’s Animation Editor documentation helps explain platform concepts, while the creator’s Blender repository documents a separate companion. We label which source supports which claim instead of combining them into an invented plugin manual.

A suggested exercise is a plan for you to try on a copy. An expected observation is a way to decide whether that step worked. Neither is a report that we ran the plugin, a hardware benchmark, a complete keymap, or a guarantee of compatibility. See our evidence standards and the dated version observations before relying on an old interface label.

Eclipse Animator tutorial questions

Which tutorial should I read first?

Use the beginner tutorial after installation. Finish a tiny motion and save it before studying advanced features. If you already have a working project, choose the guide that answers your current task rather than treating the directory as a mandatory course.

Can I follow the guides without loading YouTube?

Yes. The written body, source links and practice checks are present in the page. An optional player loads only after you choose Load video chapter. You can instead open the chapter directly. The privacy notice explains the separate video and Analytics choices.

Where do I find a missing key or a changed feature?

Use the contextual controls reference, then compare the source chapter with your installed version. The updates page separates version observations from an official release announcement. For a reproducible plugin problem, follow the creator community guide; website corrections belong on Contact.
