Eclipse Animator release date: what is confirmed?
The Eclipse Animator release date evidence starts with the original asset’s creation timestamp: October 14, 2026, at 01:20:15 UTC. That is October 13 at 18:20 PDT. The official Roblox asset record identifies it as plugin 86116556258301 by @riftkuro. Asset creation is not proof of the moment public access opened. We have not verified a separate creator announcement establishing that exact public launch time.
The creator’s official tutorial was displayed as published on October 14 in our earlier source review. Tutorial publication, asset creation and the start of a free offer are different events. This page keeps them separate rather than turning one date into a release schedule.

Latest observed version and price
At 22:42 PDT on October 17, 2026 (05:42 UTC on October 18), Roblox’s public product record returned:
- Product: Eclipse Animator, asset 86116556258301, publisher @riftkuro.
- Description version: v1.0969. This is the version text in the listing, not a version read from an installed Studio session.
- Purchase price: USD 19.99, with the product marked published, purchasable and not free.
- Asset update timestamp: October 18 at 04:52:27 UTC, or October 17 at 21:52 PDT. This is a record timestamp, not an independently verified patch rollout time.
An earlier product-record check at 21:11 PDT on October 16 returned USD 0 and marked the original product free. These two observations establish that the returned offer differed between our checks. They do not establish the exact time the price changed, the duration of a launch offer, or a future pricing schedule.
The earlier free observation is retained as history. It is not a current coupon or entitlement to a free copy. Existing ownership and the current acquisition screen may affect what a particular account sees. Review the current amount and currency before confirming a purchase.
Dated observation log, not an invented changelog
| Date or event | Recorded evidence | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 14, 2026, 01:20:15 UTC | The official record gives this asset creation timestamp. | Identifies creation of the original asset; it does not verify when anyone could first acquire it. |
| Oct 14, 2026, displayed date | The creator’s official tutorial was displayed as published on this date in our earlier review. | Dates that learning resource; it is not a pricing deadline. |
| Oct 16, 2026, 21:11 PDT | The product record showed v1.096, USD 0 and free status. | A historical offer observation, not a permanent free promise. |
| Oct 17, 2026, 22:42 PDT | The product record showed v1.0969, USD 19.99 and not-free status. | The latest observation on this page; confirm the live offer before acquisition. |
The listing still carries the creator’s new-plugin warning. We have not verified a version-by-version patch note explaining what changed between v1.096 and v1.0969. A changed version string does not justify claiming that a particular crash, export issue or rig problem has been fixed. Use a creator-authored note that names the relevant version before making that conclusion.
How to check an update before changing a project
- Match the original asset first. Confirm 86116556258301 and @riftkuro. Another upload using the same name is a different product.
- Read the current listing and creator announcements. Use the creator-linked Discord entry to find the current community and check its actual announcement or help organization. We do not maintain a private copy of its messages.
- Record the version you are using. If the plugin exposes a version label, record that label separately from the store description. If no label is visible, say so rather than assuming the store text proves what is installed.
- Save a separate copy of important work. Try the workflow that matters to you in a small duplicate before relying on an update for an existing animation.
- Check the outcome, not just the number. Reopen the test, inspect keyframes and timing, and test the export route you actually need. A successful preview alone does not verify a saved project or exported animation.
This is a suggested verification routine, not a claim that we installed or benchmarked these versions. Use the installation checklist if the plugin is missing, and the tutorial hub to choose a small, focused test.
Plugin versions and companion versions are different
The creator-linked Eclipse Blender repository describes a Blender companion, while Eclipse Video describes a separate video-reference companion. Their version labels and release files belong to those products. Do not substitute a Blender add-on version for the Roblox plugin version when reporting a problem.
For example, a useful report says which Studio/plugin version was visible, which companion was involved, and whether the failure happened during editing, transfer or playback. “The latest version does not work” loses all three distinctions. Keep any private project, account information and payment data out of public troubleshooting posts.
Why other pages may show a different release date
A UTC timestamp and a local calendar date can refer to the same instant: 01:20 UTC on October 14 is 18:20 PDT on October 13. A store interface may therefore display a different day without contradicting the underlying timestamp. A community’s establishment date or a repository’s creation date is a different event again.
When checking a release-date claim, ask for its source, timezone and event: asset creation, public announcement, first acquisition or tutorial publication. If the event is unspecified, leave the claim unresolved. We will add a specific public launch time or a patch description only when a primary source supports it.
This is an independent source review, last checked October 17, 2026, PDT. It is neither a live version feed nor the developer’s official changelog. For practical next steps, use the controls reference, first-animation tutorial, or community guide.
